January 2017 Firebird Theater

Get a close up view of the costumes and accessories that were used in stage productions at the Firebird Theatre.  Travel through time to see the Greek mythology costumes of Xanadu, displayed right next to the 1910 era wardrobes featured in Mary Poppins and The Music Man.  Sprinkle this with a little bit of pixie dust from Peter Pan, and you have an amazing journey!

Music makes the journey complete.  And at our First Friday celebration, which takes place on the second Friday of January, a group of students from the Firebird Theatre will perform show tunes from their past productions.  We are combining art, theater and music in a way we’ve never done before.  So be sure to stop in on January 13th, between 6 and 8 pm to catch the show.

The exhibit will continue in our Main Gallery through the end of January.
