Mandala Class

Mandala is an ancient Sanskrit word meaning sacred circle. Mandalas have been found in art since the beginning of time. Making mandalas captivates the mind, is somewhat meditative and instills feelings of inner peace and calm. (note to parents: this is a fabulous skill for children with attention challenges to learn) Mandalas look fabulous when they are completed. Everything we make in this class will be suitable for framing. We will begin working as a group with various exercises then moving on to individual activities including drawings with colored pencils and markers, creating mandalas with cut paper shapes, and eventually painting acrylic mandalas on canvas.  All materials are provided.
