Cocktails, Art Appreciation and Film

Since cinema has existed, audiences have become familiar with the names and faces of the men and women who make our movies; D.W. Griffith to Steven Spielberg and the cult of the movie star is as old as cinema itself.

Often overlooked and seldom less a contributor to the final cut than a director, editor, writer or star is the cinematographer, the man or woman who creates the image to be recorded in that artificial eye, the camera.

Please note: This event will be held in the theatre at the Phoenix Village Apartments at 131 Bridge Street, Phoenixville.

Doll Making Workshop

Bring in the spring by creating your own 20" cloth art doll sculpture to hang on the wall. Each student will trace the body of the doll from the pattern provided onto a large graphic T Shirt. The body is machine stitched together, turned inside out and stuffed.. Then all creativity breaks looks as the dolls are embellished, decorated and brought to life using flowers, birds, butterflies and fabric markers. Some sewing experience would be helpful but not necessary.  All materials will be provided.
