Mandala Class

Mandala is an ancient Sanskrit word meaning sacred circle. Mandalas have been found in art since the beginning of time. Making them is somewhat meditative and instills feelings of inner peace. Come explore Mandala as a way of connecting to your creative spirit. We will begin working as a group with various exercises then moving on to individual activities including drawings with colored pencils and markers, creating mandalas with cut paper shapes, and eventually painting acrylic mandalas on canvas.
All mandalas created in this class will be suitable for framing. All materials will be provided.

Plein Air Watercolor Series

Come enjoy the Spring, as we take our work outside and learn how to capture the season and environments that are ‘on the Move’. Nothing teaches color theory better than working from real life outside with real light. Composition theory, as always, will be a center of the works created in this class. Nearby painting locations are planned but we will gladly entertain other locations to meet, based on class interests.  A required supplies list will be provided prior to the first class.
